Participants are provided full equipment and skates at no cost and take to the ice for jam-packed, memorable experience.  On-ice instruction is provided by the Iceplex and RYH Hockey staff, along with other volunteer coaches and players from the local area.
A free post-event pizza party will be hosted by Bill Gray's Iceplex for all participants.
No skating or hockey experience is required, however pre-registration is required for all participants as space is limited.

Bill Gray's Regional Iceplex Improvements

Everyone wants to have a sense of pride in their home rink.  Scott Branovan of Bill Gray's Regional Iceplex has described the updates they are making to the rink.  I hope you enjoy reading about the great things afoot.  I bolded a couple of things that might be of special interest!

This summer was phase 4 of a 5 phase of a $ 4 mm revitalization plan outlined by the new operating group in April of 2013.

The downstairs renovations will all be done by 10/1 including a new concessions counter, 3 birthday party rooms, arcade area, pay lockers area, new seating area, larger skate rental room, skate aid/scooters storage cages, vaulted ceilings, new lighting, new hockey loaner equipment room, 3 new coaches offices, 2 new SELECTS at Bishop Kearney custom locker rooms, 2 new lockers rooms on rink 3, upgraded Rochester Rebels locker room, rink 3 indoor viewing area with railings on top of the new RYH locker rooms, the facility entrance stairs were upgraded and improved for visibility, the chiller barrels were replaced, an additional ice resurface machine was purchased and a new engine was put in one of the existing machines so there will be 3 working ice resurface machines this season.

For the upstairs the new Parisi Speed School was completed in the upper lobby and the parking lot was completely repaved, the BGRI marketing, operations, administration offices and meeting room moved for more space with a trendy new upgraded look, we added an employee break room behind the front desk and a new office for RYH adjacent to the meeting rooms.

Still to come no later than 1/1/17 will be upgrades to the bathrooms, upgrades to the upstairs meeting rooms, upgrades to the Bill Grays outdoor patio, new LED lighting for the entire inside and outside of the facility, a new energy management system and low E ceilings will be installed.

In the spring of 2017, phase 5 will begin with the following projects below are in the cue; new DDC control system, air source VRF and ERV equipment, new makeup air units, chiller pumps with VFDs and a front entrance retail space expansion.

I think you'll agree a lot is going on.  See you at the rink!
