Due to the overwhelming positive response of our recent open skates, Edge Girls Hockey is evaluating the potential of fielding a Squirt House team that would play in the Empire league next season. This team would be open to any girl born in 2005 or 2006 that is looking to play at a house level for the 2015-16 season. Tom McDonald, the RYH Girls Director, would be the head coach for this team. He is currently an instructor at Maksymum Hockey and has successfully coached at various levels in his career.
This would be a great opportunity to have your daughter play exclusively on an all-girls team at a younger age. In addition the normal Empire league schedule, we would also look into playing a few games against other 10U girls teams within Western New York. But in order to make this happen, we would need commitment from 12-14 girls.
Please contact Tom McDonald if you are interested in this opportunity for the 2015-16 season.
If you are registering online, registration must be completed at least 24 hours prior to your child’s first scheduled tryout date.
Walk-in registrations will be accepted, but are highly discouraged. Those not registering and/or paying online can pay the registration fee by cash, money order or personal check. We will not be taking credit cards for walk-ins at tryouts.
Any player that did not play for an Edge, RYH or MCYH team last season must bring the following paperwork on the first night of tryouts:
Birth Certificate or Passport
An original, signed copy of a release from your current organization
There is a tryout fee of $45 per player.
Players should arrive at least 45 minutes before the start of their scheduled tryout.
Once teams have been announced, you will be required to give a $150 deposit and sign a commitment letter to the organization for which your Edge team will be representing.
