Another Tournament Win - 14U Buxton Wins Championship

The RYH Bantam Buxton team won the Rock and Roll Cup in Cleveland this weekend!  They went 5-0, scored 39 goals and only had 4 goals against.  It was a great team effort to win this Championship and a great way to start the season.  Congrats to this team!

RYH PW Mixed Team Wins Championship

On Sunday 10/22/18, the RYH PW Mixed team defeated the Amherst Knights to win the 12U A Silver division of the HTP Rock 'N Roll Cup Tournament in Cleveland OH. Coached by Tom Wescott, the team defeated the Youngstown Phantoms, CAHA Penguins as well as Amherst in preliminary play, going undefeated over 3 days. The win(s) came from team wide production, with 10 different players getting at least a point over the weekend.  Congratulations to the entire team for a solid winning weekend.

TB Rochester Grizzlies 18U team wins the Niagara Jr Purple Eagle

The TB Rochester Grizzlies 18U team wins the Niagara Jr Purple Eagles Columbus Day Tournament with a 4-1 victory over Wheatfield Blades (blue) in the final, capping a 5 wins, no loss weekend.  The Grizzlies started off the weekend Saturday night with a tough 4-2 victory over Wheatfield behind two goals by Jeevan Deol.  Next up was a 7-1 win over the Cazenovia Chiefs (green).  The Grizzlies were led on the scoreboard by Tim Brown and Ryan McEvily with 2 goals each.  The nightcap on Sunday was against Central Outlaws.  TJ Catanese scored 4 goals in the Grizzlies 7-1 win.  The Semi-Finals were a 3-0 forfeit over Cazenovia due to lack of players by Cazenovia, setting up the championship game with Wheatfield Monday afternoon.  The defense contributed on the scoreboard in the 4-1 championship game.  Ricky Currier (goal)  and Quinn Tata (goal and assist) along with some breakaway saves by Cameron Kuzniar.  Cameron Kuzniar and Cameron Storrar split duties in net, each getting 2 wins on the weekend.  Congrats to all the Grizzlies players on a successful weekend!
