We are dedicated to promoting the sport of hockey through athletics, physical exercise and sportsmanship as well as to enhance the moral character and physical health of young boys and girls through organized athletic instruction and competition.
Registration for the RYH 2014-15 House season is now open, Mite through Midget, and Mite Select. New this year is the requirement that you need to register for the 2014-15 season in order to attend Evaluations, dates and times of which were posted previously. In order to register, a $100 minimum deposit is required, and the player must have their new 2014-15 USA Hockey number, available here:
If you are joining RYH from another Organization, you must obtain a release from your current (last season's) Organization prior to registering. Please email a digital copy to the
if you received one, as well as bring a physical copy with you at Evaluations. Please also have a copy of your player's USAH number, and a copy of your registration and deposit receipt with you at Evaluations.
You will note that the RYH House Fee's have increased at several levels; this is due to the increased Practice Ice hours added. House is important part of RYH, and we want all players throughout the Organization to have the opportunity to develop as far as they can, which means more ice time.
7/15/14 is an important date to remember; this is the due date for final payment on your registration if you only put a deposit down, as well as being the final 2014-15 registration day without penalty.
Registrations with balances on July 1st will be invoiced at that time as a reminder.
After 7/15/14, accounts with an outstanding balance will be charged a $50 Late Payment fee.
Registering after 7/15/14 will require contacting
for a private registration link, and will be subject to a $50 Late Registration fee as well.
As always, thank you for your patience, and please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. Everyone have a great vacation next week, and we'll see you the following week for Evaluations!
House players and Families, I am happy to announce the 2014-15 Evaluation Dates have been set, and Coaches selected. In order to attend Evaluation, you will need to register for next season; Registration will open Tuesday 4/8/14. Please remember you will need next season's USAH registration # to register.
The Rochester Hockey Community lost Dave Newton on March 21st after his year long battle with cancer. Dave was the Rochester Youth Hockey’s Edge Director and partnered with Monroe County Youth Hockey to oversee the Edge Program. Dave was dedicated to building girls’ hockey and his daughter Leila who was a goalie on the MCYH Edge 12U Tier II team this past season.
In Dave’s honor, RYH Edge together with MCYH Edge have established the Dave Newton Edge Scholarship Fund. This will be an annual need-based scholarship for Edge girl hockey players. You can make a donation to this fund by clicking here.
Dave was a true friend to Edge Hockey and his work will live on in our program for years to come. Dave will be greatly missed.
Some of you may have heard about House Evaluations being scheduled for next week, Monday for Mites and Tuesday for all other levels. These were never officially announced as some aspects had yet to be worked out.
As a result, House Evaluations have been POSTPONED for administrative reasons.
Specific make up dates and times have not been set, but are highly probable to be the week of 4/21/14, right after Spring Vacation. The goal is to have the new dates confirmed and posted/sent by this week's end (3/28/14). Additional info regarding the process for registering will be sent in the near future as well.
As always, if you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me at the address attached (Reply to), which is my NEW Hockey specific email- please update your contact info for me accordingly.
Thank you all for your patience, as well as for the great season!
